Requirements

  • Must possess Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college
  • Must have 5-7 years of Technical Design experience in the designer or contemporary market.
  • Must have clear understanding of the LoveShackFancy brand and aesthetic and have an amazing eye for fit and quality
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
  • Must have excessive construction and patternmaking knowledge
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work simultaneously with different departments

Responsibilities

  • Must have a strong background in knitwear, cut and sew, swim and active a plus
  • Must be able to start with development tech pack and edit as needed, document fit comments, specs and bill of materials from start to finish of a product fit cycle. Translate design sketches and/or samples into spec and construction pages. Review tech packs prior to turnover for accuracy
  • Lead/direct fit session on live model with cross-functional teams (Design/Production/Merch) to evaluate garment fit, constructions and styling details
  • Measure and prep samples for fitting
  • Provide technical direction, internally and externally, on corrective actions needed to bring samples to brand fit standards. Utilizes written comments, sketches, photos, or pattern making as needed to communicate
  • Communicate fit and balance issues via easily understandable written and/or visual methods
  • Anticipate and resolve any potential production problems while in the fit process. Partner with vendors in the resolution of problems as necessary
  • Issue grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval. Review grade rule changes submitted by factories
  • Must be able to launch domestic developed samples to overseas factories
  • Establish construction standards for all fabric types
  • Establish and maintain brand fit, spec and construction consistency
  • Maintains professional and timely daily email correspondence with overseas vendors
  • Ability to articulate the fit issues and present solutions during the fit session to cross functional teams
  • Accountable to resolve fit issues and to clearly communicate with vendors via emails/zoom calls within tight timeline
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to make sure T&A calendar is maintained
  • Help production team by answering all technical questions by overseas factories from SMS development, in-line production and TOPs
