The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations within the kitchen, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining high standards of food preparation and safety.

Requirements

Prior experience as a Kitchen Supervisor is highly preferred, ideally in a hotel or restaurant setting
Excellent attention to detail
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to train and motivate team members effectively
Property safety certifications
Prior experience working with inventory and food costs
Required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle/feel/work with objects & tools
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds related to inventory
Must be able to adeptly smell and taste food and beverages to judge quality
Adhere to Makeready & property policies and procedures as defined

Responsibilities

Oversee opening and closing of kitchen
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Provide training and support to kitchen staff, promoting skill development and teamwork
Assist in the development and testing of new recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation
Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with established standards
Assist in managing inventory and ordering kitchen supplies, ensuring all necessary ingredients are on hand
Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles
