JOB SUMMARY Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with established standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen while supporting daily operations and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment required
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Must hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Knowledge of all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand customer inquiries and communicate simple instructions
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to safely use cleaning products and kitchen processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
  • Lifting Fifty (30) pounds maximum.
  • Constant standing & walking required.
  • Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise kitchen employees and assign duties as needed
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
  • Monitor food quality and consistency during all phases of preparation and service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas
  • Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies
  • Train and support kitchen staff in proper procedures and techniques
  • Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate service
  • Step in to assist with food preparation during peak periods
