About The Position

The Kitchen Supervisor at Rosen Hotels & Resorts ensures the kitchen staff works together as a team to provide optimum service based on Company Standards They are responsible for inspecting grooming and attire of staff, completing opening, and closing duties, and assisting in hiring, training, and scheduling employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of previous food & beverage experience required.
  • Minimum one year of previous leadership experience required.
  • Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently
  • Must be able to legally work in the USA.
  • Food Handlers Certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Restaurant Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the kitchen staff, including cooks and prep chefs, to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • Assist with training fellow employees and new hires on proper food preparation, safety procedures, and kitchen protocols.
  • Ensure all dishes meet quality standards and are prepared according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Oversee inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, placing accurate orders as necessary to maintain proper stock levels.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with kitchen staff, front-of-house teams, and upper management to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
  • Strive to exceed guest expectations by consistently delivering high-quality food and service.
  • Execute all ticket orders in a quality and timely manner according to menu specifications.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Set up hot line station according to business and in-house activity using daily check list ensuring proper rotation and product quality.
  • Maintain proper pars and cleanliness of restaurant trams and stations.
  • Maintain a clean work area and break down the workstation after service.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Adhere to the drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policies of the company.
  • All other duties as assigned.
