BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position) : Keep The Mill Casino kitchen premises in a clean and orderly condition, by performing the following duties. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Executive Steward. Keeping all food and beverage areas clean. Proper operation of the dishwasher in the main kitchen. Sanitary scraping and cleaning of all flatware, glasses, dishes, pots and pans. Sanitary storage of all flatware, glasses, dishes, pots and pans. Transporting soiled dishes and flatware from the various waitstations and serving areas in The Mill Resort and Casino to the dish staging area for cleaning. Removal of all trash, recyclables, cardboard, and soiled linens from all areas of the kitchen. Restocking the employee dining room. Using a variety of cleaning compounds and chemicals in the kitchen area. Wiping down all tables, shelves and stainless in area. Completion of the daily stewarding closing procedures. Tending to specific cleaning tasks that have been assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years related previous experience required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies
