Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Minimum of 6 months- 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house food-service position preferred

Nice To Haves

High school education is desired; participation/enrollment in a culinary program is preferred
Familiarity and experience with knife handling preferred

Responsibilities

Aid in the supervision and observation of performance for the dishwashers and porters under the direction of the Sous Chef
Ensure food items and kitchen utensils are prepared according to Delaware North standards of quality, consistency, and timelines
Maintain and enforce sanitation procedures and organization of the work area
Utilizes and sanitizes kitchen equipment for the preparation of food items such as knives, slicers, whisks, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc.
Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines
Ensures workstation and equipment are clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
Meet all health department standards for safe food handling and operate equipment safely, determined by position and OSHA regulations
