About The Position

As a Stewarding Supervisor you will assist the Stewarding management team to delivery high quality service to the Food & Beverage division. Ensures cleanliness of the operation and adherence to all State and Federal health codes. Individuals in this position must possess a keen eye for detail, ability to follow directions, written and verbal, basic understanding of chemical usage. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other associates or guests.

Requirements

  • Valid CA Drivers License
  • Valid CA Food Handlers Card
  • Experience working without direct supervision.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic understanding of chemical usage.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Positive, friendly demeanor.
  • Function well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or sanitation related position.
  • Previous experience with guest or customer relations.
  • Intermediate or advanced understanding of chemical usage.

Responsibilities

  • This position will be responsible for leading the Stewards in ensuring the kitchen and all food and beverage outlets meet the highest standard of sanitation.
  • Supervise the collection of dishes, pots, pans, kitchen utensils and equipment from various outlets in the building, sorting and separation of china, glassware and silverware.
  • Supplying the kitchen and wait staff with clean utensils and dishes for service, will also be delivering various kitchen equipment between the resort outlets.
  • Ensuring that the dishwashing conveyor and all related equipment are well maintained, cleaned and operated according to standard.
  • Contacts service representative when necessary for repairs and follows up to ensure that requested repairs have been completed.
  • Overseeing the cleaning schedule for all kitchens and areas of responsibility to insure proper cleanliness for Health Department inspections and daily inspections.
  • Oversee the packing and transportation of china, glassware and silverware required for on-site and off-site banquet events and inventory the items when they are returned.
  • Facilitates and ensures that daily stand up meetings by shift are conducted to ensure that property information is communicated and understood.
