About The Position

Position Overview:As a Commissary Prep Worker, you will play a key role in preparing ingredients and assembling food in high volumes. Your responsibilities will span the entire process—from prepping and assembling to labeling and packing orders for shipment. Attention to detail and efficiency are essential in maintaining quality and consistency throughout production.

Requirements

  • Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment – getting on and off equipment throughout shift
  • able to operate a large capacity fryer, grill; thermometer and proper temperatures for cooked and cooled food
  • Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders daily
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill large quantities in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Working in a team-based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality
  • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
  • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift.

Nice To Haves

  • At least One to Two (1-2) years food service experience
  • Serve Safe Certification
  • Knife skills a must
  • Grilling/ frying

Responsibilities

  • Prepare fresh ingredients in large quantities
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency
  • Prepare, assemble, label and pack food for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Utilize strong knife skills for efficient and accurate ingredient preparation.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of food items and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
