The Kitchen Manager / Head Chef is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for the overall management of Cal-Wood’s food service operations. This role combines culinary leadership, operational oversight, staff supervision, budget management, and detailed inventory and cost tracking. This position plays a key role in ensuring meals are nutritious, inclusive of dietary needs, financially sustainable, and aligned with Cal-Wood’s mission. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive inventory and cost-tracking system that directly connects purchasing, menu planning, and program volume. Quarterly financial and operational reports are provided to the Executive Director.
