About The Position

RADIAS Health is hiring a full time Kitchen Manager to work onsite at our ReEntry House Crisis Stabilization Program located in Minneapolis. The ReEntry House Crisis Stabilization Program provides integrated mental health services in one centralized location in Minneapolis with other programs at this site. This role provides professional, quality program services to the clients served by ReEntry House IRTS. This position involves being responsible for preparing nutritious meals, according to dietary restrictions while maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen in accordance with all Health Department standards. This position is also responsible for monitoring and managing the budget related to the food and supplies needed. Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 am - 6 pm, 40 hours per week This position is located onsite at our ReEntry House Crisis Stabilization program in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Requirements

  • Has experience in all aspects of running a commercial kitchen including: menu planning, ordering and inventory control, food preparation/storage
  • Familiar with appropriate state and local regulations for commercial kitchen operations.
  • Food service license and/or serve safe certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen with health code compliance, meal planning, ordering food and other needed supplies.
  • Prepare menus that meet all nutritional requirements by the Minnesota Department of Health. Retain menus for 1 year.
  • Develop recipes for each item on menu.
  • Prepare lunch and dinner Monday through Friday.
  • Assist weekend staff involved in food preparation for Saturday and Sunday meals.
  • Maintain effective inventory controls.
  • Maintain spending within the budget.
  • Assess resident’s knowledge and skills in cooking and nutrition areas.
  • Trains those residents identified by Mental Health Therapists in proper food handling and cooking techniques.
  • Teach independent living skills classes in nutrition cooking.
  • Provide courteous and respectful care to all clients.
  • Participate actively in on-going professional growth and development; maintain appropriate professional behavior and participate in appropriate supervision.
