This position, under the general guidance of the Culinary management team and Main Kitchen Cook 1 team members, focuses on gaining culinary experience through participating in the day-to-day operations of the Main Kitchen. The role involves assisting in the timely preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items, maintaining established quality standards, and possessing basic knowledge of products, uses, and availability. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of cold dishes, salads, cold meats, fish, and poultry dishes, performing simpler tasks such as slicing and grinding meat, banquet action station carving, making pasta, and preparing sandwiches, burgers, and salads according to menu specifications. The Kitchen Helper will also mix dressings and sauces, set up and break down buffets, assist in running food during events, and work under the direction of higher-rated cooks or train for and perform routine cook work under general supervision.
