Cal-Wood Education Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Dishwasher and Prep Cook to support our food service operations for students, guests, and staff. This role is essential to delivering nourishing, high-quality meals in a dynamic outdoor education environment. Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of food preparation experience.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as part of a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to pass a background check .
• Possess a valid driver’s license .
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual — Spanish fluency highly preferred to support our community and guests.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and appliances.
• Prep food and meals.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
• Work collaboratively with dining and program staff to support meal service flow during busy periods, including evenings and weekends.
• Adapt to changing schedules and group sizes while maintaining quality and timeliness.
• Support cleanup and end-of-day kitchen closing procedures.
