Summary: The Kitchen Associate assists with meal preparation and serving; cleaning of dishes, utensil, equipment and pots and pans; cleans and organizes the kitchen, work areas, dining room, and serving areas.

Nice To Haves

Previous food service experience preferred.
Serv-Safe certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

Provides assistance with all dietary functions as directed in accordance with established department policies and procedures.
Assists with preparing and serving meals following established food safety standards and guidelines.
Serves meals in accordance with established portion and quality standards.
Performs daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks.
Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils and equipment according to established procedures and return to storage areas.
Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
Assists with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of food service work areas, dish room and storage areas.
Sweeps and mops floors as assigned.
Restocks food, beverages and supplies for meal service.
Assists in the receiving, rotating and storage of food and supplies.
Provides excellent customer service to clients.
Reports any issues or problems that may arise to the Dining Services Manager or Supervisor.
Promptly reports workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses.
Assists with Cook responsibilities as assigned.
Completes required trainings and mandatory training hours
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
