About The Position

The Kitchen Assistant at WE LEVEL UP is responsible for supporting the culinary team in maintaining a clean, efficient, and organized kitchen environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen activities, contributing to the overall success of the dining experience by assisting in food preparation and maintaining hygiene standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to food safety guidelines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Organize and store food supplies and ingredients in designated areas to maintain freshness and quality.
• Support the kitchen team in setting up workstations and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
• Assist in the proper disposal of waste and recycling materials in accordance with company policies.
• Help in the preparation and plating of dishes during service times, ensuring presentation standards are met.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the kitchen.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager to support the overall operations of the kitchen.
