About The Position

Isaiah House, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing effective substance use disorder treatment, is seeking a committed and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team at the Shelley Center in Harrodsburg, KY. Requirements

Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
Ability to work early morning shifts and weekends
Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
Physical ability to move and handle Kitchen Items, furniture and supplies
Positive attitude and commitment to serving others
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Food Handler’s Permit preferred, but not required
High school diploma or GED required; candidates currently enrolled in GED/adult education classes will be considered with the expectation of completion within an approved timeframe
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a high-demand role

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
Food Handler’s Permit preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing meals for clients, serving and cleanup as directed by Kitchen Manager
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
Follow safety and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and clients
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
Support team members in ensuring timely and efficient meal service
