This position is for a Kitchen Assistant at Avenues Recovery Center in Fort Wayne, IN. The Indianapolis facility, a 144-bed detox and residential rehab center, provides drug and alcohol addiction treatment with an evidence-based clinical program, comprehensive medical care, and custom MAT options. Its multidisciplinary staff includes doctors, nurses, addiction specialists, counselors, and support staff, who care for clients compassionately. Requirements

Any relevant experience/ training necessary to serve as professional chef
If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Ability to collaborate and work efficiently
Comprehensive understanding of health and sanitation laws

Responsibilities

Support head chef in all aspects of food preparation (cooking, cleaning, stocking etc.)
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and function through consistent washing and tidying
Keep kitchen organized and stocked by replenishing all supplies when running low
Follow all food storage policies, labeling protocol, and food safety regulations
Collaborate with BHT team for efficient meal preparation, service, and cleanup
