We are seeking dependable and team-oriented Kitchen Assistants to support daily food service operations in a clean, safe, and respectful environment. Position Overview The Kitchen Assistant supports meal preparation, food service, sanitation, and kitchen organization to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality meal delivery. This role contributes to a positive dining experience while maintaining strict food safety and cleanliness standards.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to follow sanitation and safety guidelines

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service or kitchen experience
- Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in healthcare, residential, or institutional settings
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food prep (washing, chopping, portioning, plating)
- Support meal service to patients and staff
- Maintain appropriate portion sizes and presentation standards
- Refill food stations and beverages as needed
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, prep areas, and dining spaces
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
- Properly store food and supplies according to safety guidelines
- Receive and store deliveries following inventory procedures
- Assist with stocking, labeling, and rotating food items
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain organized workspaces
- Support dietary team members as needed
