About The Position

LabConnect improves lives by partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and clinical research organizations (CROs) to accelerate the development of new medicines around the world. We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions. Job Summary The Temp, Kit Builder I is responsible for the accurate, compliant, and efficient assembly of clinical specimen collection kits used in global clinical trials. This role ensures that all kit components, labels, and documentation meet established quality, regulatory, and protocol-specific standards. By supporting the preparation and integrity of clinical materials, the Kit Builder I contributes directly to the success of clinical research operations and patient safety. Please note this is a temporary assignment, anticipated to last 3–4 months. The role is onsite in Johnson City, TN, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma(or in process of obtaining equivalent) required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good English reading, comprehension, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a clinical, laboratory, or healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adherence to global SOPs, site procedures, and all relevant quality and safety regulations
  • Assembles clinical specimen collection kits in accordance with Work Orders, Pick Lists, and Assembly Bill of Material.
  • Verifies accuracy of kit components, included but not limited to lot numbers, expiration dates, reference numbers, and protocol instructions.
  • Prepares and organizes requisitions and applies all required labels with precision.
  • Prepares and manages specialized materials associated with kit assembly, ensuring proper handling and compliance with safety procedures.
  • Supports workflows for Priority Lane, Flex Orders, and Walkthrough Orders.
  • Completes QC Checklists, error tracking, and delivers orders to the appropriate QC area.
  • Maintains an organized, compliant workspace.
  • Contributes to process improvements.
  • Assists with training and knowledge transfer when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
