Requirements

  • BLS Certificate from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Clean driving record with current NC driver’s license and approved by corporate vehicle insurance vendor for driving privileges
  • Minimum of two (2) years experiences working with dental office practice.
  • Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding, third party billing, collections.

Nice To Haves

  • Dental Assistant Certification
  • Prior office medical or dental office management (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the patient registration process and daily operations of the dental front office to maximize revenue and reduce patient registration errors.
  • Participates in the interview, selection, education and training processes of new ancillary staff.
  • Participates in the performance evaluation, monitoring and any corrective actions for departmental staff.
  • Assists with managing the scheduling and coordination of the KINSHIP Program and its promotion.
  • Attends and participates in organizational meetings, teams, and committees as assigned or requested.
  • Ensures accurate determination and verification of all third-party insurance, Medicare and Medicaid including prior approvals and patient-responsible co-pays.
  • Works in conjunction with the billing staff to monitor aged account receivables to determine status of claims and balances and takes appropriate action to include “good faith and collections” statements to patients.
  • Work in collaboration with Dental Clinical Manager.
  • Ensures correct patient coding and data entry into the systems for patient billing.
  • Identify mechanism to provide continuous training to all front desk staff regarding policy updates, billing issues etc.
  • Works with billing department in researching and re-filing denied claims.
  • Delivers excellent customer service.
  • Possess excellent communications skills needed to interact with patients in a positive manner.
  • Works as front desk GSA and performs other clinical duties as needed.
  • Communicates daily with Sr. Director, Dental Services.
  • Supervises the transportation and set up of Mobile Dental Office, along with overseeing travel, mileage and maintenance log reports daily.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
