Be the change you wish to see in the world! Come join our team to empower children and families in our communities to transform their lives and develop to their full potential. The Kinship Coordinator (KC) is responsible for partnering with families involved in child welfare and potentially other systems, in their natural environment, to maintain the family unit. The KC collaborates with the family and other entities to assess and refer them to services such as Family Centered Treatment (FCT), other family preservation models, or kinship care. The KC may carry out aspects of kinship home certification and case management activities for assigned families and youth. The KC always provides individualized, child centered, family focused, culturally competent, strengths based, goal driven and individualized services. The Kinship Coordinator works independently or within a team with minimal supervision and understands community relations as well as Treatment Foster Care (TFC), kinship care and community-based service components. Ideal candidates will live in one of our service counties (Giles, Floyd, Montgomery, Pulaski, or Russell) and share our commitment to supporting kids and families in our communities.
