The Kingdom Builders Pastor champions Bethany’s “Build the Kingdom” value by leading missions, outreach, Go Serve, and The Oaks with clarity, spiritual passion, and strong systems in place. The essential duties of the Kingdom Builders Pastor include: Missions & Global Partnerships Kingdom Builders Strategy. Develop and execute an annual plan detailing priorities, giving goals, missionaries and partners, trips and teams, communication, and celebration opportunities. Missionary Care. Build strong relationships with missionaries and partners through consistent communication, prayer coverage, hospitality, and practical support. Partnership Discernment. Evaluate, recommend, and steward partnerships aligned with Bethany’s mission, vision, and values. Outreach & Local Impact Local Outreach Pipeline. Build clear on-ramps for outreach, helping people to take “one step closer” through serving. Community Partnerships. Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, nonprofits, foster and adoption organizations, city and community leaders, and local ministries. Care & Mission Alignment. Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders so outreach initiatives are spiritually rooted, people-focused, and mission-forward. Go Serve. Lead and grow our Go Serve ministry by overseeing heroes and inventory, coordinating teams and projects, and partnering with ministries/organizations to meet needs. Love Week. Plan and execute an annual Love Week to mobilize the church to serve our community through strategic projects and partnerships, strong volunteer leadership, and compelling storytelling that celebrates impact and points people to Jesus. The Oaks Integration Vision & Programming. Collaborate with the campus pastor to develop a year-round plan for The Oaks that blends community programming with ministry purpose, creating “reasons to gather” that open doors to relationship and discipleship. Systems & Processes. Create and maintain clear systems for communication, bookings, set-up/tear-down, and cleanliness so The Oaks runs with excellence and consistency. Calendar & Coordination. Lead The Oaks master calendar, aligning campus needs, outreach initiatives, and community events while preventing conflicts and confusion. Stewardship & Sustainability. Oversee the day-to-day operations of The Oaks, managing finances, supplies, and operational costs; recommend improvements that increase health, excellence, and long-term sustainability. Communication, Systems, and Storytelling Impact Communication. Work with the Communications Director to provide consistent Kingdom Builders updates, including stories, wins, needs, giving vision, and next steps. Operational Excellence. Create repeatable systems for partners, projects, trips, calendars, budget requests, approvals, and volunteer coordination so everything is reliable and scalable. Metrics & Reporting. Track and share meaningful wins (people served, volunteers mobilized, dollars given, partners supported, trips completed, stories of life change). Pastoral Team Pastoral Care. Provide spiritual care, prayer, and presence for outreach teams, leaders, missionaries/partners when visiting, and for people connected to outreach pathways. Meetings & Collaboration. Provide updates in staff meetings; align with campus pastors and key leaders on Kingdom Builders priorities; attend assigned planning meetings. Availability. Maintain healthy rhythms, be consistently present on Sundays and major church moments, and remain accessible for collaboration and pastoral care throughout the week. Church Staff Team Culture. Build camaraderie and alignment across staff and teams; bring a team-first mindset and celebrate others. Stewardship. Manage budgets, purchasing, and project resources with integrity; submit receipts and consistently communicate financial health. Communication. Be proactive, clear, timely, and known for closing the loop.

Requirements

  • Four+ years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Credentialed with the Assemblies of God (or actively pursuing credentials).
  • A clear sense of calling and a desire to see lives changed.
  • Humble: has a teachable spirit and a growth mindset.
  • Hungry: intrinsically motivated to go the extra mile and finish well.
  • Smart: capable of caring for, recruiting, and training others.
  • Proficient with the use of apps (iOS), Planning Center, and Google Workspace.
