Requirements

• Eligible to work in Texas Public Schools.
• A Bachelors degree in Education or related subject.
• Ability to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance through TEA.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an elementary educator.
• Masters degree in Education or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating students academic and social growth, keeping appropriate records, and preparing progress reports
• Communicating with parents via email, conferences, and other means to discuss student progress
• Identifying student needs and cooperating with the Subject Experts or other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems
• Providing differentiated instruction and executing IEPs and 504 Plans with fidelity
• Substitute/duty coverage as needed
• Supervise students during classroom transitions throughout the day
• Occasionally represent BASIS Ed Texas at designated school wide community events outside of typical school hours
