About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting middle school students through school-based mental health counseling. This role includes working collaboratively with school staff, offering consultation and support, and providing comprehensive case management services to students and their families. Requirements

  • Education: A master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from a CACREP-accredited program.
  • Experience: At least two years’ experience providing child, adolescent, and family therapy.
  • Other: Familiarity with DSM IV/V codes and Medicaid paperwork required.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Certifications/Licensing: License preferred (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
  • All mental health clinicians must register with CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Health) within seven days of date of hire.
  • All unlicensed clinicians must register with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) prior to the start date and must remain in active status throughout JFS employment.
  • This position requires a current CPR certification.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (proof required), subject to legally required exemptions.

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual and group therapy to students.
  • Provides therapy and psychoeducation to families of students as needed.
  • Consults and collaborates with school staff regarding the needs/behavior of students.
  • Provides crisis intervention support.
  • Facilitates referrals to meet the medical and psychiatric needs of clients as indicated.
  • Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with Agency standards.
  • Participates in team meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
