About The Position

The Kids Coordinator of Soul City Families is a passionate and organized leader who creates and coordinates Soul City Kids programming for birth through 5th grade. This Coordinator will creatively plan and execute engaging Sunday environments alongside a team of committed volunteers, helping create safe, fun, and age appropriate spaces where children feel known, build friendships, and begin to grow in their faith. The Kids Coordinator is a relational team builder who recruits, develops, and cares for volunteers while supporting parents as they lead their kids spiritually and helping design can’t miss Sunday experiences for families. This role supports the broader ministry of the church by identifying opportunities to better serve children and families and by creating environments where kids can begin and grow in a transforming relationship with Jesus. The three major components of this position are: (1) Coordinate and lead excellent Soul City Kids environments and Sunday experiences for children birth through 5th grade, (2) Recruit, train, and care for Soul City Kids volunteers and (3) Cultivate relationships with families and support parents as they disciple their children.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead excellent weekly Sunday Soul City Kids experiences. Prepare for Sundays by organizing the Sunday schedule, preparing curriculum, and sending written communication to families and volunteers.
  • Volunteer recruitment, development, training and care through equipping, empowering and encouraging them in their unique roles as adults caring for kids.
  • Organizes & executes (outside of Sunday) Family experiences and camps.
  • Emails, purchase card reconciliation, scheduling and general ministry administration.
