About The Position

The purpose of Kids Ministry at CCV is to come along side parents to help raise spiritual champions to love and serve Christ with their lives. The Kids Ministry is helping develop the next generation that will be the hands and feet of Jesus in their families, schools, and communities. The Kids Coordinator will assist the ministry efforts of the team by providing excellence in the implementation, development, and execution of services and department events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekend operation support through various tasks as needed, including:
  • Assessing general needs during the program and be able to address those needs in an appropriate way
  • Communicating effectively with volunteers and parents
  • Working with other staff to set-up and tear-down
  • Providing evaluation of situations and making appropriate decisions for issues regarding parents and staffing
  • Participate in a weekly kids’ staff meeting.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities as approved by the Kids Ministry Leader.
  • Execute the entire weekend in the Kids room when the Kids Ministry Leader is out.
  • Coordination of the necessary staffing requirements for weekend services:
  • Recruiting, building and maintaining volunteers
  • Contacting potential and regular volunteers by telephone and email
  • Obtaining and maintaining volunteer information
  • Helping forecast the needs of the Kids ministry in regards to volunteer staffing
  • Providing input regarding the design and implementation of volunteer training
  • Build and maintain relationships with the volunteers
  • Assist with design and implementation of volunteer training.
  • Assisting in the execution of various department and church events, including but not limited to:
  • Dad/Daughter Dinner and Dance
  • Volunteer Appreciation Event
  • Easter
  • Christmas Eve
  • Kids’ Campus Events
