About The Position

Meridian Hills Country Club Title: Kids Club Associate Department: Kids Club Reports to: Youth Program Coordinator Meridian Hills is a family country club home to 700+ membership families located in the heart of the Midwest. The Club is widely recognized as a premiere facility in Indiana whose tradition of distinguished membership provides exceptional social opportunities, amenities, grounds, and a gathering place year-around for the family. General Summary Implement childcare programs for members’ and guests’ children.

Requirements

Requires being alert to and anticipating situations that would compromise the children’s physical or emotional well-being.
Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations
Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Applied Psychology or Elementary Education preferred.
At least two years of work experience as a childcare provider in a pre-school or before-and-after school setting.

Nice To Haves

Child Development Associate credential from the Council for Professional Recognition or Child Care Professional credential from the National Child Care Association desirable.

Responsibilities

Plays games with children.
Reads to the children.
Supervises children’s play activities.
Plans music and arts and crafts activities for the children.
Resolves disputes between children as necessary.
Maintains safe and clean facility.
Leads children in exercises, on-grounds field trips, and other activities approved by the Youth Activities Coordinator.
Keeps play areas in safe, tidy, and clean condition.
Changes diapers and pull-ups on younger children and assists with potty training.
Maintains toys and games.
Orders food and beverages for children; ensures that members are billed for these items.
Attends staff meetings.
Completes other appropriate tasks as assigned by the youth activities coordinator.
