About The Position

This is a part-time Kid’s College Intern position within the Corporate & Community Services department, part of the Academic Affairs division. The intern reports to the Community Education Coordinator, Corporate & Community Services, and is classified as Non-exempt with a minimum pay rate of $17 per hour. The position is FWS Eligible. Joliet Junior College, founded in 1901 as the nation’s first public community college, is dedicated to student learning, community prosperity, and personal growth. Requirements

  • Current High School or College Student
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
  • Must be available to work at all JJC campus locations and provide own transportation.

  • English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
  • Demonstrated multicultural competence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Lifelong Learning summer programming, specifically Kids College Camps.
  • Take primary responsibility for the health, well-being and happiness of participants
  • Assist with promotion and coordination of programs and events.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
