About The Position

Wishpond Technologies is hiring a full-time Kickoff Specialist to join our fully remote team, and the successful individual could be based anywhere in Canada. At Wishpond, the first 90 days of a client relationship are critical. This is where trust is built, expectations are set, and long-term success is either unlocked or lost, and the Kickoff Specialist own this moment. As the Kickoff Specialist, you’ll lead one of the most important conversations in the client journey. Your role is to ensure every new client clearly understands what we’re delivering, how success will be measured, and the roadmap before execution begins. You’ll help clients translate ambition into achievable strategy, grounded in best practices and real-world constraints. This is a client-facing, high-impact role that blends communication, strategy, and credibility. You are not reacting to problems; you are preventing them by setting the relationship up correctly from day one. As our Kickoff Specialist, you sit at the intersection of Sales, Strategy, and Customer Success. You take ownership of the post-sale kickoff experience and ensure clients begin their journey with clarity, confidence, and alignment. You’ll lead structured kickoff conversations that: • Build trust quickly • Clarify and quantify client expectations • Establish what success looks like in practical, measurable terms • Set realistic timelines and priorities • Position Wishpond as a long-term strategic partner Your work concludes with a structured handoff to Account Management, ensuring continuity and setting delivery teams up for success. In collaboration with the Customer Success Department, the Kickoff Specialist is responsible for the success of Wishpond Technologies.

Requirements

  • A confident, polished communicator who can lead client conversations from day one
  • Comfortable selling ideas, direction, and tradeoffs—not just delivering information
  • Experienced in digital marketing, client strategy, account management, sales, or onboarding
  • Able to challenge clients constructively without damaging trust
  • Highly organised and structured—nothing falls through the cracks
  • Strategic in mindset but practical in execution
  • Fluent in English; most of our clients are based in the US and Canada
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and owning outcomes
  • As part of a diverse team, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be technical, analytical, results-driven and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organised, administratively strong, and have solid writing, phone, and general communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead kickoff and onboarding calls with all new clients post-sale
  • Establish trust and credibility from the first interaction
  • Confirm scope, timelines, and deliverables with absolute clarity
  • Help clients articulate and quantify success for the first 30, 60, and 90 days
  • Guide clients toward realistic strategies and best practices based on their business, budget, and goals
  • Address unrealistic expectations or gaps professionally while strengthening the relationship
  • Document each kickoff clearly and consistently in a structured onboarding summary
  • Handoff clients cleanly to Account Management with alignment on goals, priorities, and next steps
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Account Managers, and Technical Onboarding to ensure continuity
  • Other duties as assigned.
