About The Position

Key Equipment Finance is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented college student with an interest in finance who is eager to learn and gain hands‑on exposure to the equipment finance industry. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work alongside our Capital Markets team, supporting both the buy and sell desks and gaining insight into syndication, investor relations, and investment strategies. The role is designed to build a strong foundation in financial analysis and offer meaningful experience for students interested in pursuing a future career in finance. In this role, you will work closely with syndicators and deal teams to assist in transaction execution, analyze financial data and market trends, manage investor data platforms, and ensure seamless communication across internal and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in preparing deal materials, tracking investor engagement, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive business growth. This is a highly collaborative position that provides exposure to multiple departments across the bank, including credit, risk, legal, and operations. Your contributions will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of KEF’s capital markets activities, making this an ideal opportunity for someone eager to deepen their analytical skills and gain broad experience in structured finance and asset-backed lending.

Requirements

  • Must have completed at least two years toward a four-year, undergraduate degree program with coursework in finance, business, economics, or a related field with an anticipated graduation in or before May of 2027
  • Outstanding academic achievement (minimum undergraduate 3.3 GPA)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities to completion
  • All Microsoft Office platforms (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, etc.)
  • KeyBank’s Internship and Analyst positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.

Benefits

  • This position is eligible to earn an hourly rate of $27 per hour.
  • Compensation also includes a $2,000 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus.
