About The Position

The Key Account Manager must be focused on growing Wis-Pak Brands through the effective selling and development of our beverage brands at the key account level.  The focus of this development should be on assuring the long-term success of the Shareholders by developing a wholly-owned, nationally recognized and distributed beverage brands which enhance existing product portfolios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field is preferred.
  • Seven years of sales experience, preferably in the beverage industry calling on the corporate level.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
  • Persuasive and diplomatic communication skills. Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively design sales/marketing programs.
  • High attention to detail and follow through.
  • Strong analytical thinking ability.
  • Ability to establish plans, prioritize and organize efforts to execute and meet goals.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity and honesty.
  • Must be able to accommodate extensive travel – two weeks per month
  • Must be able to report into the home office in Madison, WI when not traveling. If relocating, must be willing to relocate in a mutually agreeable timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Increase sales and distribution of Wis-Pak Brands through successful management of key customers at the national and regional level
  • Develop a strong promotional plan with key customers to drive success and expansion within the chain, including analyzing overlaps and competitive activity to maximize opportunities
  • Seek, build and maintain long-term trusting relationships with store managers, category managers, key account personnel, national sales managers, and buyers
  • Identify growth opportunities for Wis-Pak Brand sales and marketing initiatives including expansion of distribution in regional customers through the areas of distribution
  • Drive brand awareness through collaboration with key customer sales and marketing teams utilizing account specific assets, identifying marketing opportunities including sampling and digital programming
  • Drive Wis-Pak Brands strategic plan by working effectively with Regional Sales Managers to expand distribution in new territories by gaining key customer authorizations
  • Perform the analysis of sales and market/territory data to provide consultation and/or correction for under-performing markets and/or customers
  • Be educated on unique demographics within a customer’s geography. Effectively positioning Wis-Pak Brands presence in each market and chain/store to drive sales
  • Assist with the selling-in of trade solutions, sampling activations, and shelf placement
  • Use rigid ethical considerations to guide decisions and act in accordance with Company values
  • Exhibit exceptional skills in customer service, time management, self-confidence, flexibility, analysis, accountability, practicality, presentation, and communication
  • Offer assistance in the development of an effective team to deliver the following: Ensure voids are closed in key customers Ensure product look and display is consistent with brand strategy, plan-o-gram compliance, overall appearance and above presentation standards of competitive products Provide routine market intelligence on current market conditions and/or opportunities that may affect sales or category share of product. Collecting and reporting information on competitive products and service offerings to management
