About The Position

The Key Account Manager manages sales, share and profitability of AC snack portfolio within assigned key accounts in Price Chopper, Tops, Wegmans, and Big Y. Ensures consistent growth in accounts in order to reach sales objectives. Plans, manages and works with operations to execute plans to deliver goals and objectives. Responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing new strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and earnings. Builds, leads and implements the Wise business plan with our company owned operations, third party distributors and retail customers within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Some College, No degree
  • 3 years Key Account Manager Experience
  • 3 years Knowledge of DSD - Intermediate

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent profitable growth in Sales
  • Creates weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales projections.
  • Develop plans which meet the customer needs and align with employer assigned objectives.
  • Manage competitive pricing plan to control PPA.
  • Exercises consistent trade spend efficiency by completing post promotion analysis on a regular basis.
  • Negotiates mutually beneficial sales price and discounts with the customer.
  • Effectively utilizes analytical tools to drive profitability, working knowledge in JDE, T-Pro analytics and IRI Unify systems is a plus. Communicates account information and updates to distribution network and relevant internal contacts.
  • Promotional activity, pricing changes, display planner and ad weeks.
  • Post-performance results and areas of opportunity.
  • Currents authorization lists and cost associated.

  • Takes ownership of their business by identifying sales objectives, strategies and action plans to positively impact share, sales and profitability.
  • Forecast sales to assist company in maintaining accurate financials and production supply.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key personnel at corporate and regional level at each assigned customer.
  • Works with DSD manager to make sure our distributors are able to provide excellent customer service to our accounts.
  • Category development insights (data mining and strategy / story development) to provide value to the customer.
  • Improve short and long term sales earnings by continuous review of sales indicators.

  • Build competitive promotional calendar to drive sales
