The Impact You’ll Make in this Role The person hired for the position of Aerospace and Defense Key Account Manager will build strong working relationships, seek opportunities and develop plans to grow sales at large and complex end using accounts, and elevate current relationships to higher executive levels. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career. As a Key Account Manager for Space OEM’s, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Leads front end negotiation, implementation and execution of customer agreements Calls on and develops C-suite-level relationships with existing and new customers Identifies, influences, and leads mutual beneficial projects with key national accounts Works with assigned accounts to follow through on agreed upon objectives Determines competitive share opportunities and creates plans to win share Develops and executes plans to deliver the strategy for the key account Maps and identifies opportunities to strengthen the relationships between 3M and the account Implements best practices across multiple locations Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of experience selling to large complex end user accounts in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
  • U.S. Export Control laws and U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts and sub-contracts impose certain restrictions on companies and their ability to share export-controlled and other technology and services with certain "non-U.S. persons" (persons who are not U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., refugees, "Temporary Residents" (granted Amnesty or Special Agricultural Worker provisions), or persons granted asylum.
