In this role you will utilize key account management skills calling on the MRO sustainment command for the United States Air Force and Army. The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a(n) Government Key Account Manager for the US Air Force you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Determine directions, priorities and assigns resources with full accountability for results of functional area. Responsible for managing sales targets for assigned customers/area(s)/product line(s). Identify and define market/product opportunities to meet sales and growth objectives. Driving growth of 3M solutions at some of the Nation’s largest military depots and repair facilities. Owning, leveraging and cultivating senior level relationships at assigned accounts to identify business needs / drivers and position 3M solutions for growth Building and executing channel engagement plans that leverage existing government contracts and market trends (ie, use of small, disadvantaged businesses) Leading 3M Team members at assigned accounts to foster and drive collaboration in the attainment of assigned forecast Creating, maintaining, and executing pipeline of opportunities and engagements to realize the key sales targets and metrics Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and Three (3) years of account sales experience in a commercial, government, or military environment OR Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and Five (5) years of military experience.
