The Federal Systems Technology Department of the USFGMD is responsible for supporting a charter of implementing and integrating complex systems sold worldwide to the U.S. Federal Government. As a System Upgrade Agreement (SUA) Field Service Technician (FST) Manager, you will be exposed to a wide variety of communications requirements in both the Presale, Post Sale, and sustainment/life cycle phases of a project. These applications span the entire breadth of the U.S. Federal Government throughout the world. The Air Force ELMR system is the largest and most complex ASTRO system globally. The Air Force SUA (System Upgrade Agreement) FST (Field Service Technician) Manager will work closely with the SUA PM and other SUA FSTs to develop migration plans for upcoming Air Force ELMR SUA deployments. Air Force ELMR SUAs present unique challenges due to extensive customizations across the enterprise, necessitating customized testing in a lab environment. The Air Force SUA FST Manager will collaborate with Upgrade Operations and third-party vendors to develop and execute strategies and test plans, ensuring flawless production deployment performance. The Air Force SUA FST Manager will also drive the creation of processes, tests, and documentation for use in the production environment.
