Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or related equivalent experience preferred.
  • 1 to 5 years’ experience in equipment sales and rental.
  • PC Skills (Excel, Word, Access, DBS)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for key rental customers and Caterpillar national accounts, handling high-volume communications via calls, emails, texts, and customer portals.
  • Manage rental leads and requests through the customer rental portal, including assigning leads, setting up rentals, processing service requests, and maintaining rental agreements. Coordinate and deliver training for key accounts on using the customer rental portal effectively.
  • Support Caterpillar national account customers with customer growth, implementation, and issue resolution, collaborating with other Caterpillar dealers as needed.
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and maintain regular contact with key and national accounts based on their communication preferences.
  • Generate and qualify rental equipment leads, forwarding them to the appropriate Account Managers to support sales efforts within Cat Rental Stores.
  • Link contracts to the rental ERP system and ensure accurate integration with the National Account Portal.
  • Maintain regular customer contact, aiming for 50 calls per week, and meet with rental clients as needed based on account requirements.
  • Act as the primary customer contact while setting and achieving monthly and yearly goals to support continuous improvement and company success.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to increase market share, improve customer service, and achieve company goals through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
