About The Position

The Estill County Area Technology Center is looking for an experienced, hard-working, dedicated person to help students in Estill County and surrounding counties reach their career goal in the area of Information Technology. This position is very rewarding as you see students in grades 9-12 further their education and complete their career path. The Kentucky Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education, Estill County Area Technology in Irvine, KY has an opening for an Information Technology Instructor. This position is advertised as part of KRS Chapter 156 OCTE for employment through the Office of Career and Technical Education. It is not subject to the provisions of KRS 18A for classified or unclassified service In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System. Requirements

Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught; OR
Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught; OR
Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.

Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (A+ CERT, NCCER, ABC, AGC,). Applicant can be hired without the required personal instructor certification but must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.
