Kennel Worker
About The Position
We are seeking a Part Time Kennel Technician to join our team at Horsham Veterinary Hospital. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and wellness of our boarded animals. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals, as well as providing excellent customer service to their owners. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our animal guests are comfortable and happy during their stay with us. This position is primarily for two to three weekday afternoon shifts (3-6pm) one to two weekends per month.
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal husbandry and handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays (we do have a boarding facility so we still need kennel techs to walk and feed boarders even when we are closed for holidays)

Responsibilities
- Feeding and watering animals according to their specific dietary needs
- Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and walking areas
- Assisting with animal bathing
- Assisting Veterinary Assistants and DVMs with restraint for sample collection and exams
- Cleaning and packing surgical instruments, towels, and gowns
