Kennel Technician
About The Position
Key Responsibilities Provide daily care for hospitalized patients, including feeding, walking, and monitoring Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and hospital equipment Observe patients for changes in behavior or condition and communicate concerns to the veterinary team Assist with safe animal handling and restraint as directed Maintain hospital cleanliness and follow established safety and sanitation protocols Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians with routine tasks as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Animal care experience is helpful but not required Comfortable working with animals of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to ~50 lbs Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment What Akaal Pet Hospital Offers Competitive pay based on experience On-the-job training and mentorship Opportunities for growth within the practice Supportive, team-focused work environment Employee pet care discounts and benefits (where applicable) Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications At AmeriVet, we’re committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
