The Bryan County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for a Part Time Kennel Technician in our Animal Services Department. The purpose of this classification is to be responsible for the day-to-day care of current animals as well as maintaining shelter and common area cleanliness. This includes feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, and monitoring the well-being of dogs and cats and cleaning the shelter throughout the shift. Kennel technicians must have sufficient physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift and/or move heavy pets and objects. Must have the ability and willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for animals that come in for stray hold, ones that are kept to be adopted or sent to rescue. The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
