About The Position

This position is for a competent Psychiatric Licensed Practical Nurse who will practice psychiatric-mental health nursing under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role involves performing general nursing tasks for the holistic care and treatment of patients’ medical and psychiatric needs. Key responsibilities include assisting in the assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementing, coordination of care, health teaching, and health promotion for a unique patient population with psychiatric and medical healthcare needs. Nurses are expected to demonstrate mission-driven leadership focused on patient care and quality improvement, and to adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including time and attendance policies and mandatory overtime. Staff members must be available for recall to duty, being held over, and irregular day/shift rotation to ensure adequate facility coverage. This is an essential full-time position, not eligible for Adverse Weather Leave. Seven Counties Services is a major provider of mental and behavioral health services in the Louisville Metro area, employing over 1,400 staff across 25+ locations. Responsibilities

  • Practice psychiatric-mental health nursing under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Perform general nursing tasks for the holistic care and treatment of patients’ medical and psychiatric needs
  • Assist in the assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementing, coordination of care, health teaching and health promotion of psychiatric and medical healthcare needs of a unique patient population (under the supervision of a Registered Nurse)
  • Engage in mission-driven leadership focused on patient care and quality improvement
  • Follow policies and procedures of the facility
  • Adhere to time and attendance policies including mandatory overtime
  • Be subject to being recalled to duty, being held over and to irregular day/shift rotation whenever necessary to provide adequate coverage to meet facility needs
