About The Position

Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools, serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. As a paraprofessional at Brooke, you provide small group or 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with special needs under the supervision of a special education teacher. You collaborate with colleagues, including classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators, to meet the needs of your students. You also work with staff to develop and implement behavioral intervention plans, ensuring that student learning and classroom behavior goals are met, and assist the lead teacher in observing, recording, and charting behavior. Hours for this role are 7:15 am - 4:20 pm daily and compensation ranges from $23/hr-$30/hr

Requirements

  • You are committed to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias, empowering students with the resources they need to create choice filled lives for themselves and their futures.
  • You have earned at least a high school degree or equivalent
  • You have experience working with students with special needs and know the importance of building a joyful classroom culture where students are held to high behavioral and academic expectations.
  • You are professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues.
  • You are able to start July 22, 2026.
