About The Position
Putnam County Primary School is seeking a special education teacher for a newly developed K-3 self-contained classroom, the Pathways Program for the 2026-2027 School Year. This program will support students with a range of needs, including autism and other multiple disabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with administrators, related service providers, and paraprofessionals to establish instructional routines, implement individualized supports, and build a strong foundation for this new program.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
- Strong communication skills, positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and excellent organizational abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with students with autism or multiple disabilities preferred.
