About The Position

We’re looking for a robotics curriculum specialist to join ReadyCT’s high-energy, forward-thinking team. In this role, you’ll report to and work closely with the director of STEM initiatives to bring engaging, future-focused learning experiences to K–12 students across Connecticut. If you love blending creativity with strategy—and helping educators feel confident and inspired in the classroom—this role is the perfect fit. You’ll design, curate, and refine robotics curriculum that reflects real-world industry needs and classroom realities, guided by data, educator feedback, and evolving program goals. You’ll also lead train-the-trainer workshops, coaching educators to deliver robotics instruction with both rigor and enthusiasm. Beyond curriculum development, you’ll collaborate with schools, employers, and state partners to create hands-on, career-connected learning experiences that prepare students for success in Connecticut’s high-growth industries, especially advanced manufacturing and technology.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates experience developing K–12 STEM or robotics curriculum that integrates hands-on, industry-relevant skills and technologies.
  • Can design multi-modal, standards-aligned lesson plans that engage diverse learners.
  • Excels at facilitating professional learning, from teacher workshops to “train-the-trainer” sessions.
  • Is proficient with educational technology, robotics platforms, and coding tools (experience with FIRST or VEX robotics programs is preferred).
  • Uses data to drive improvement, adjusting curriculum and implementation based on participation and outcomes.
  • Has strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and industry partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Brings experience as a classroom teacher or instructional coach (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Design, adapt, and enhance robotics curricula (e.g., FIRST and VEX) for use in K–12 classrooms.
  • Create integrated modules connecting automation, coding, and 3D modeling to real-world careers in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and technology.
  • Lead high-quality professional learning experiences, including workshops and ongoing coaching to ensure strong program implementation.
  • Build educator capacity to confidently deliver robotics instruction that inspires curiosity and career exploration.
  • Oversee and evaluate curriculum integration pilots across multiple districts each year, measuring engagement and long-term outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze feedback and performance data to continuously refine content and instructional strategies.
