Requirements

  • RN license in good standing (Indiana)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
  • At least one year of nursing experience
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Strong assessment skills and calm decision-making in urgent situations
  • Compassion, professionalism, and resilience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments for detained youth
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Run daily sick call and respond to urgent care needs
  • Assist with weekly physician clinic
  • Coordinate outside medical, dental, and psychiatric care
  • Communicate with families and facility staff regarding health concerns
  • Provide First Aid and CPR training to staff
  • Maintain medical records and health supplies
