About The Position

As a Justice System Clerk, you will provide specialized clerical support and take ownership of the full lifecycle of each case file—ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely access for attorneys representing our clients. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, support individuals subject to court-ordered mental health treatment, and manage a high volume of phone calls in a hospital setting. Requirements

  • Two years of general clerical/administrative experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for the experience requirement up to one year of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with court or legal records
  • Electronic records/case management systems experience is typically found in legal or medical environments
  • Legal, court, or justice system environment experience

Responsibilities

  • Accesses and updates case records using case management systems (iCIS, Justware)
  • Answers inquiries and assists customers with requests for electronic or physical records
  • Sorts or classifies information according to established guidelines
  • Updates case files, court calendars, and case management systems using information received from courts and staff
  • Creates hard files, organizes materials, and affixes labels
  • Pulls, transports, and destroys case files as needed
