About The Position

We’re looking for a Jurisdictional Propane Systems Coordinator to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for our Jurisdictional LP (JLP) systems. In this critical role, you will ensure regulatory compliance, support operational excellence, and help guide the safe operation of propane systems across multiple states. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, regulators, and field personnel while providing training, oversight, and leadership during both routine operations and emergency response. Requirements

  • 10+ years of propane industry experience
  • 5+ years of Operator Qualification (OQ) experience
  • Proven experience training and developing propane technicians
  • Experience working with state and federal regulatory agencies
  • CETP Certification
  • Large Equipment Certification
  • Appliance Service Certification
  • Outside Piping & Tank Setter Certification
  • OQ Qualification

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary internal and external contact for JLP regulatory matters with: Maine Public Utilities Commission, New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission, Vermont Public Utility Commission, Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with key regulations including: 49 CFR Part 192, NFPA 58
  • Maintain and administer company programs including: Operators Qualification (OQ) Program, Operations, Maintenance & Emergency Response Manual, Distribution Integrity Management Plan
  • Manage initial and refresher OQ training
  • Provide field training on JLP documentation and procedures
  • Serve as an LP emergency response trainer and advisor
  • Support the development and mentoring of propane technicians
  • Perform site audits of JLP systems across markets
  • Audit JLP documentation and site files
  • Coordinate state-level inspections and manage corrective action responses
  • Oversee propane odorant testing and DigSafe registry maintenance
  • Coordinate major maintenance activities for large JLP systems
  • Act as Emergency Response Coordinator in the event of a propane release
  • Manage OD2 equipment and calibration
  • Handle state and federal emergency response reporting
  • Serve as an advisor during acquisition of large commercial propane customers
  • Partner with the Sales and Operations teams to evaluate new JLP opportunities
