Candidates Must Be Able to Learn to Perform grinding and basic prep work on steel components. Operate hand and power tools, tape measures, scales, and forklifts. Complete DIRs and documentation with minimal assistance Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping protocols Assist production in surface prep using grinders, sandpaper, and hand tools Mask and tape components per work instructions and drawings Stage and transport materials using cranes, hoists, or forklifts (if certified) Maintain clean, organized paint booths, blast booths and workspaces Support safe operation of paint equipment and PPE use Follow all safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling policies Cooperate with other trades and departments to meet production goals Minimum Requirements Up to 6 months of relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience Ability to read simple drawings, paint specs, or work instructions Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and work in elevated or tight spaces Willingness to work around paint fumes, solvents, and coatings Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime or weekends as needed Must pass a 2F Weld test, dimensional tolerance and tacking test.
