The intern will join a team to develop, maintain, sustain, deploy, and provide database administration for an executable transitioning into a standalone web interface to track supply chain weaknesses for emerging technologies within the government. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for scheduled updates to the customer and be able to work project leads and software developers to support the enhancement of the industrial base.

Requirements

Candidate should be working towards obtaining a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field
Minimum 3.5 GPA (GPA must be listed on resume to be considered)
An understanding of web application development processes to include frontend and backend development and deployment
US citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance

Nice To Haves

Python proficiency
Experience with web-based frameworks (ex. Django)
Experience with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
Experience with Git-based version control
Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
Understanding of web application architecture, including backend services and frontend rendering
Experience debugging, maintaining, and extending existing codebases

Responsibilities

Ensure the readiness and availability of databases necessary for production.
Perform database software/hardware upgrades and installations for multiple databases used in production
Database patches to ensure systems are kept in-accordance-with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert software and firmware upgrades and patches and includes heavy scripting and database administration support.
Scheduled updates to the customer
Work project leads and software developers to support the enhancement of the industrial base.
