AECOM is seeking a motivated Junior Transportation Project Manager to help lead and deliver impactful transportation projects on behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Based in DeLand, Florida, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the full project lifecycle—from early scoping through design development and delivery. In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and regional transportation partners, supporting the development of plans, managing project schedules, and helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently and successfully. Strong coordination, communication, and collaboration skills are key, as you’ll play an active role in keeping stakeholders aligned and projects moving forward. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Identifies discrepancies in results. Provides guidance to entry-level engineers. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with limited supervision. Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
