You will serve as a dedicated point of contact/liaison between money managers, registered advisors, branches, trading, settlements and other operation departments. You will provide assistance with rejection notifications that are received from the market centers and immediately notifying the field. You will assist with errors, problem executions, work with settlements to resolve trade issues and be available for all system down times. Position contains increased elements of risk which are managed through operational reviews, system checks, and adherence to procedures. How the Alumni program works: Apply via this job advert. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business related subject - Finance/Economics
  • A GPA of 2.75 or higher. We look for potential, not prestige, but it’s important that you enjoy pushing yourself to pick up new ideas
  • The right to work without needing visa sponsorship
  • Intermediate to advanced skills utilizing MS Excel and SQL
  • Record of providing outstanding customer service in a faster-paced environment.
  • Strong decision-making ability. Must be willing to strive to find solutions to client problems and issues.
  • Position may involve a high degree of stress and pressure.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Effective problem identification, analytical and resolution skills. Ability to gather and analyze relevant information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management

Nice To Haves

  • Series 7 and 63 or 66 licenses.
  • Understanding of Equity and Option markets
  • Strong understanding of back office systems (i.e. Broadridge, Fiserv APL, FIX connectivity, Salesforce).
  • Prior experience working on a trading desk or trade operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex tasks within all policy and procedures, involving multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast pace environment.
  • Monitor multiple applications and understand the priority of each application/process.
  • Answer phone calls for multiple business lines.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse group of equity traders, correspondents, money managers, and RBC Personnel by asking and answering questions in an accurate, professional, and timely manner.
  • Assist with monitoring work volumes, daily reports and inventories.
  • Work with other associates to resolve issues in a timely manner and notify supervisors of critical items or trends.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
